When you choose the Fairfield County Community Foundation as your partner, your philanthropy becomes meaningful, effective and easy.
There are 2,423 nonprofit organizations in Fairfield County—not including hospitals, private schools or houses of worship. We introduce you to nonprofits—large and small—that match your charitable passions, are accomplishing positive results, and get the most good from every dollar.
If you don't have a charitable passion, we help you target your philanthropy to support values important to you and meet critical needs in our region. We share our extensive knowledge about Fairfield County issues and which nonprofit organizations are effectively tackling those issues.
Depending on your level of engagement, you're invited to site visits at local nonprofits, donor briefings and special conferences. You're introduced to other like-minded donors. In addition, you have access to our research, including program evaluations in your fields of interest, and you're alerted about new giving opportunities.
You're freed from drafting documents, accounting and reporting requirements. There's no need for you to conduct exhaustive research, issue Requests for Proposals, processing grant requests or evaluate the effectiveness of your grants.
Finally, we go beyond awarding grants to address critical community needs. We lead countywide initiatives that tackle the root causes of critical problems in Fairfield County, like the shortage of affordable housing and the achievement gap in our urban public schools.
Since 1992, over 4,700 individuals and organizations have helped us award more than $52 million in grants. We invite you to join them in making a difference in your own backyard and beyond.
