Barry C. Hawkins, Esq., Chair
Barry joined the Fairfield County Community Foundation board in 2004 and was elected chair in 2009.
Barry is a partner in the law firm of Shipman &
Goodwin in Stamford. He is a fellow of the American College of Real Estate and served
on its national board of directors. He served as chair of the real estate section of theConnecticut Bar Association and remains on its executive committee.
By appointment of the Governor, Barry has served since 1998 as a national Uniform Law Commissioner where he presently serves as a division chair and as chair of Uniform Prudent Management of Institutional Funds Act. He lectures and writes nationally on the Uniform Prudent Management of Institutional Funds Act and other endowment spending issues.
Barry is an adjunct professor of real estate law at the University of Connecticut School of Law in Hartford and a director of the West Haven Land Trust. He has previously served on the board of the Housatonic Community College Foundation.

| Susan Ross, President/CEO
Susan holds a Master's Degree in Education from Boston University and in 2006 completed the Strategic Perspectives in Nonprofit Management Program at Harvard Business School. She has more than 32 years experience in philanthropy and nonprofit management.
Having joined the Foundation in 1996, she has been responsible for its overall management as the Foundation has increased its visibility and presence in Fairfield County. During her tenure, the Foundation has awarded more than $76 million in grants through a variety of funds that have enabled both big and small organizations to develop and expand programs that address critical local and regional needs.
With the merger of FCCF and the Greater Bridgeport Area Foundation in January 2008, the Foundation's managed assets approach $150 million. It has increased its staff to strengthen its ability to address an increasing number of donors, needs and opportunities.
Ms. Ross serves on the board of the Connecticut Council for Philanthropy, the statewide association of foundations and public and private grant makers, and is immediate past chair of the Connecticut Community Foundation Network, the association of Connecticut's 16 community foundations.
