Development & Philanthropic Services

Linda Franciscovich, Vice President of Development and Philanthropic Services
Linda joined the Foundation in 2008. Linda oversees a group of professionals who provide philanthropic advice and services to Foundation fundholders. She is responsible for implementing fundraising strategies to increase our investment and impact in Fairfield County.

Prior to joining the Foundation, Linda was a Managing Director at U.S Trust. As national head of Private Philanthropy, she was responsible for philanthropic services and advised individuals and families on philanthropic planning, including mission and strategy development, governance, generational succession and other aspects of charitable gift planning.

Linda has lectured widely, including speaking at conferences and workshops of the Council of Foundations, The Philanthropy Roundtable, New York Regional Association of Grantmakers, Association of Fundraising Professionals, Financial Women’s Association, and the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE).

She is a Trustee of the Westport Public Library, and a Director of the National Institute for Reproductive Health and the Berthe M. Cote Foundation.

Linda is a graduate of the University of Denver and New York Law School. She is admitted to the New York State Bar. She and her husband live in Westport.

Sharon Reiss, Director of Philanthropic Services

Sharon has more than 15 years experience with the Fairfield County Community Foundation. She joined the Foundation in 1993 as a financial systems consultant and migrated into the role of Director of Finance and Administration. After serving in finance and administration for 11 years, Sharon assumed her current position in the Development Department.

As Director of Philanthropic Services, Sharon leads and manages the delivery of high quality services to Foundation donors to build their philanthropic knowledge and experience. In addition, she works with our philanthropic service team to ensure contributions and grant recommendations are processed accurately and timely.

Sharon earned a BA in Psychology from the University of California at Irvine and an MS in Psychology from Pepperdine University in California.

She is a board member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Fairfield County Chapter, and received certification as a Fundraising Executive in 2009.

Jennifer Branstrom, Donor Services Associate

Jennifer joined the Fairfield County Community in 2008. She previously served as Assistant to the Director of Advancement at the Penn Foundation in Pennsylvania, and worked as Assistant to the Head of School at the Newtown Friends School.

She is a graduate of the Executive Secretarial Program at the Stone School of Business (now the Stone Academy) in Connecticut. She and her husband recently moved to her hometown of Milford. When she’s not working, Jennifer enjoys traveling, reading and spending time with her family and friends.

Madeleine Thal, Donor Services Associate
Madeleine joined the Foundation in 2010. She previously served as associate director of corporate relations at the Maritime Aquarium and as community director for the March of Dimes. Madeleine has more than 30 years of experience in the private sector, holding account management and new business development positions in the advertising, banking and technology sectors.

Madeleine works with Foundation donors and fundholders providing grant and scholarship administration.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Western Connecticut State university and enjoys cooking, reading, sewing, RVing and music. She lives in Black Rock with her husband, Alan.

Alanna Morton, Development Assistant / Event Coordinator
Alanna has more than 10 years experience in administrative services. She joined the Foundation in 2005 after serving as an Administrative Assistant at a law firm specializing in immigration law. Prior to that, she was the Human Resource Assistant at Milford Hospital.

As Development Assistant, she provides administrative support to all development efforts, including event production. She has a business degree at Sacred Heart University.

Alanna lives in Norwalk and enjoys mentoring adolescents.
