Communications | Sallie Mitchell, Communications Director
Sallie has more than 25 years experience in advertising and public relations. She joined the Foundation in 2005 after serving as Public Relations Director for writing instrument manufacturer Pilot Pen. Prior to that, she was the Director of Brand Development for the Public Relations Society of America, the world's largest association of PR professionals.
As Communications Director, Sallie is responsible for building the Foundation's brand and increasing awareness. She earned a BS in Journalism with a concentration in Advertising and Public Relations from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California, where she later taught Advanced Public Relations.
Sallie lives in Wilton with her husband. She enjoys volunteering with their two therapy dogs and scuba diving in the tropics.
Jeff Yates, Communications Manager
Jeff began his career in journalism in 2003, first as a reporter and then as the editor of The Wilton Bulletin newspaper. He joined the Foundation in 2008.
As Communications Manager, Jeff is responsible for collaborating with and serving as a resource for local and regional media outlets, focusing on promoting the Foundation’s programs and services. He holds a BS in English from Kenyon College in Ohio.
A fourth generation Wilton resident, Jeff, is an active outdoorsman, fly-fisherman and conservationist.
