Awarding Scholarships

Scholarship funds at the Fairfield County Community Foundation help our region's youth achieve their educational goals. In 2010, the Foundation and its donors awarded more than 100 scholarships totaling over $850,000 to students throughout Fairfield County.

The development of scholarship funds and the annual awarding of the scholarships are important elements of Fairfield County Community Foundation's role in the community.

Scholarship funds support educational advancement of qualified students using criteria established by the donor. These funds often memorialize a loved one or honor a special person.

We have nearly 200 scholarship funds established by generous individuals, businesses and organizations that help deserving students pursue college study and strengthen the future of our communities. These funds cover many different areas of study.
