Giving With Others

Your charitable giving becomes more effective and impactful when pooled with the resources of like-minded donors. Together, your gifts leverage additional funding to respond to growing and changing needs.

Giving to existing funds at the Foundation allows for strategic planning and larger grants to address the root issues behind many of the greatest challenges facing residents in Fairfield County.

You can identify funds which match your giving interests and passions and join others in supporting nonprofits working in those areas.

Meet the changing needs of the community

The Fairfield County High Priority Grant Fund recognizes that tomorrow's challenges and problems may differ greatly from today's. With that in mind, many far-sighted donors believe gifts to this fund provide the needed flexibility to change and adapt to future needs.

Combined with the power of collective giving, and benefiting from strong financial stewardship focused on long term growth, the Fairfield County High Priority Grant Fund allows you to make a gift today that will create a legacy for the future.

You can make an online contribution to the Fairfield County High Priority Grant Fund, or email Fiona Hodgson, Vice President of Development and Marketing, or call her at 203.750.3200.

Support a specific community or area of interest

Another option for leveraging the power of collective giving is to support a field of interest fund at the Foundation. These funds cover a wide range of issues and needs from education, health and wellness, women and girls, the environment, the arts, and also offer the option to make lasting gifts to a specific community in Fairfield County.

Through its field of interest funds the Foundation brings together donors, community leaders, experts in the field and nonprofits to develop philanthropic strategies designed to make the most of each charitable dollar.

Initiatives connected with many field of interest funds help bring long-term, strategic giving to some of Fairfield County's most pressing problems.

Among the field of interest funds are:

The Fund for Women and Girls

The Fund for Academic Excellence

The Fairfield County Center for Nonprofit Excellence Fund

The Fund for the Environment

The Fund for Health and Wellness
