Juanita T. James
President & CEO

 
Juanita joined the Foundation as President & CEO in October, 2011 following a 37-year corporate career. Most recently, Juanita served as chief marketing and communications officer at Pitney Bowes Inc., where she was responsible for marketing, brand management, media and analyst relations and corporate citizenship and philanthropy.

Juanita is deeply engaged in nonprofit leadership, helping local and national organizations navigate change and transformation. She is a director for Reading Is Fundamental, a trustee of Lesley University and trustee emerita of Princeton University. Locally, Juanita has been a member of Childcare Learning Center's Leadership Council, a director of Curtain Call and has held board leadership roles for Stamford Museum and Nature Center, Stamford Symphony and the Ferguson Library. She is an ordained elder and deacon of First Presbyterian Church in Stamford.

Juanita holds a Master's degree in business policy from Columbia University's Graduate School of Business and earned her Bachelor's degree in romance languages from Princeton University.

She and  her husband, Dudley Williams, Jr., have lived in Stamford for 22 years and raised their son, Dudley Williams, III in the community.

Alanna supports the President and CEO and serves as the Board liaison at the Foundation. She joined the Foundation in 2005 after serving as an Administrative Assistant at a law firm specializing in immigration law. Prior to that, she was the Human Resource Assistant at Milford Hospital.  She received a business degree from Sacred Heart University and is currently pursuing a degree in Professional Studies. She lives in Norwalk and enjoys all things vintage.
