Foundation Leadership
The Fairfield County Community Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors made up of business and community leaders from throughout the county. They are responsible for the Foundation's vision, strategic direction and executive management. While Board members bring a range of knowledge, skills and expertise to the Foundation, all have a commitment to supporting the Foundation's mission to serve donors and strengthen the community.
Sheila served on the board from 1998 to 2003 and re-joined the board in
2007, becoming chair in 2011.
Along with her husband, Charles, Sheila has established three
funds at the Foundation, including a donor advised funds and two unrestricted funds.
She is president of the Perrin Family
Foundation in Ridgefield. She also serves on the boards of the
Connecticut Association of Human Services, the Connecticut Center for
School Change and formerly served on the boards of the Connecticut
Council for Philanthropy and the Aldrich Museum of Contemporary Art.
In 2000, she received the Distinguished Advocate for the Arts Award from the Connecticut Commission on the Arts.
Sheila earned her Bachelor’s degree from West Chester University and a Master’s degree from Fairfield University.
Vicki Craver, Vice-Chair
Vicki joined board in 2009 and became vice-chair in 2011.
She serves as a co-chair of the Foundation's Fund for Women and Girls and has served in various leadership roles for the fund since 2004.
A former Vice President of the Fixed Income Division at Goldman Sachs, she attended the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill, earning a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, and received her master’s of business administration from the Amos Tuck School of Business Administration at Dartmouth College.
Vicki is on the board of the University of North Carolina, College of Arts and Sciences Foundation and lives in Riverside.
Ron Noren, Treasurer
Ron joined the board in 2008 after serving on the board of the Greater Bridgeport Area Foundation board since 2004. He became treasurer in 2011.
Ron is a principal with the Southport law firm Brody Wilkinson PC, where he focuses his practice in the field of trusts and estates.
He served as board chair of the Bridgeport Hospital and chairs the capital campaign for expanding and renovating the Emergency Department. In addition, Ron serves on the boards of the Kennedy Center and the Greater Bridgeport Symphony.
He is a lifelong resident of Easton, where he resides with his wife Renee. The Noren’s have established The Bannow-Noren Fund, a donor advised fund, at FCCF.
Hon. John P. Chiota, Secretary
John joined the board in 2008 after being elected chair of the board of the Greater Bridgeport Area Foundation in 2007.
He chairs the Audit Committee and serves on the Executive and Legal Committees.
In 2000, John established the Chiota Family Scholarship Fund.
John presides over Trumbull Probate District Court and serves as partner in the Fairfield law firm Gentile, Chiota & Guthrie LLC, specializing in estate planning, wills, trusts and real estate.
He has been involved in community efforts at Fairfield Preparatory School and has volunteered with the Central Connecticut Coast YMCA, Trumbull Town Council, Trumbull Board of Finance and others.
John earned his law degree from Fordham University Law School.
He and his wife live in Trumbull. |
